A 160 cm rectangular dining table seats 6 people, 200 cm seats 8 and 240 cm seats 8 comfortably (maximum 10). That includes one person at each end. For the room, allow the size of the table plus about 2.3 metres in length and width: a table of 200 × 100 cm fits in a dining room of at least 4.3 × 3.3 metres.

How to calculate how many people fit at a rectangular table
Divide the length of the table by 65 cm: that is the number of people per long side. Multiply by two and add the two ends. A 200 cm table therefore has 3 seats per side, plus 2 at the ends: 8 people. Note: sitting at the end is only comfortable if the table is at least 90 cm wide and there is no leg in the way.
Which size do you choose in your situation?
160 to 180 cm: 6 people
The standard size for a family of four with occasional guests. At 180 cm, eight people fit for a birthday if you squeeze up a little.
200 cm: 8 people
For those who often eat with family or friends. Eight people sit comfortably, and the 100 cm width leaves room for serving dishes in the middle.
220 to 240 cm: 8 to 10 people
For large families and long dinners. Ten people fit if it may be a little tighter. Allow for a room at least 4.5 to 4.7 metres long.
Straight edge or Live Edge?
The Hugo has a clean top with straight edges. On the Live Edge, the edge follows the natural shape of the tree trunk, making every table unique. The seating is the same for the same size. Both tables are made of solid mango wood and matt lacquered against stains and moisture.

Choose 220 or 240 cm. With ten people you sit a little closer together; for ten people every day, 260 cm or more is more comfortable.
