Choose mango wood if you want a warm table with a lively grain, in many shapes and sizes: with us from 95 to 240 cm, round, oval, Danish oval and rectangular. Choose oak if you are looking for a lighter, calmer grain and extra hardness (round 110 to 150 cm, Danish oval 180 or 220 cm), and teak if the table stays outdoors all year round. Acacia is hard and has a strongly contrasting grain, but is not currently part of our table collection. All our tables are solid wood, matt lacquered and have a 5 cm thick top.

What is the difference between mango wood and oak?
You see the biggest difference straight away: mango wood is warmer in colour and has a busier grain, oak is lighter and calmer. Oak is also somewhat harder and heavier. Mango wood gives every table its own pattern, because no two planks are the same. In our range, a round oak table costs roughly twice as much as the same size in mango wood.
Is mango wood as strong as oak?
Mango wood is a hard, sturdy wood, suitable for daily use at the dining table. Oak is slightly harder still and therefore less prone to small dents. With a 5 cm thick top and a matt lacquer, both are strong enough for a family with children, board games and working from home.
Which wood needs the least maintenance?
With our tables, the wood species makes little difference to maintenance. All our tables are matt lacquered. You wipe the top with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry it. You do not need oil or wax. Do use coasters under hot pans and wet glasses.

When do you choose acacia?
Acacia is a very hard wood with a pronounced pattern: light and dark stripes alternate. That gives a bold look, but it does not suit every interior. Want to combine acacia with a mango wood table? Keep the undertone the same and let one wood species play the leading role. Black steel ties the two together.

Which wood can stand outdoors?
Teak is the best choice for outdoors. The wood naturally contains oil and can withstand rain, sun and frost. Left untreated, teak turns silver-grey after a while. A mango wood dining table belongs indoors, but for the garden we also have a round garden table in mango wood. Mango wood does remain more sensitive to moisture and temperature changes than teak, so cover that table or bring it indoors in winter. You will find both garden tables under garden tables.
Which shapes and sizes are there per wood species?
- Mango wood, round: straight edge in natural or black from 95 to 150 cm, natural with black edge from 100 to 150 cm, and Swiss Edge (bevelled edge) in natural from 100 to 140 cm.
- Mango wood, oval and Danish oval: natural or black, from 160 × 90 to 240 × 110 cm.
- Mango wood, rectangular: straight edge or Live Edge in natural, from 160 × 90 to 240 × 100 cm.
- Mango wood, coffee table: round 80 cm or oval 110 × 55 cm, natural or black.
- Oak: solid European oak with Swiss Edge, natural or black. Round 110, 130 or 150 cm and Danish oval 180 × 90 or 220 × 110 cm.
- Teak: round garden table with Swiss Edge in natural, 110, 130 or 150 cm.
The dining tables are 76 cm high. Browse all mango wood tables or the oak tables.
Which wood suits your interior?
- Warm and characterful, with lots of wood, linen and plants: mango wood in natural.
- Light and calm, Scandinavian or Japandi: oak in natural.
- Bold or dark, with black steel: mango wood or oak in black.
- A table for the garden or terrace: teak, or the mango wood garden table if you cover it well.
Still unsure about the shape? A round table often fits better in a square room, an oval or rectangular one in a long dining room. Then look in the mango wood tables collection to see which size suits your space.
Frequently asked questions about mango wood, oak, acacia and teak
Is mango wood good quality?
Yes. Mango wood is a hard, sturdy wood that is well suited to dining tables and coffee tables. With a matt lacquered 5 cm top, a mango wood table lasts for years.
Which is better: mango wood or oak?
That depends on what you are looking for. Oak is harder, lighter and calmer in pattern, and more expensive. Mango wood is warmer in colour, livelier in grain and comes in more shapes and sizes.
Can mango wood handle moisture?
Normal use at the table, yes, because our tables are matt lacquered. Do not leave water or wet glasses on the top and wipe up spilled liquids immediately. Do not place the table directly next to the heating.
Do I need to oil a wooden table?
No, not with our tables. They are matt lacquered, so oil or wax is not needed. A damp cloth with a little mild soap is enough.
Do you sell acacia tables?
Not at the moment. Our tables are made of solid mango wood, oak or teak.
