Contrast or harmony: what works best with mango wood?
There are two ways to choose chairs for a wooden table. With contrast, you deliberately choose chairs that differ from the table, in fabric, leather or metal. That is the easiest choice and the table remains the eye-catcher. With harmony, you choose chairs in the same warm tones as the wood. If you go for wooden chairs, pick a wood colour that is clearly lighter or darker. Wood in almost the same colour quickly looks like a mistake.
Which chairs go with natural mango wood?
Natural mango wood has a warm, golden-brown colour with a lively grain. Light chairs in beige, cream or champagne keep it calm and timeless. If you want more warmth, choose green, terracotta or brown. Deep green next to natural wood gives a natural, fresh feel. A black metal frame under the chair adds a bold accent.

Can you mix different chairs?

Do chairs with armrests fit under the table?
That depends on the height of the armrest. The top of our dining tables is 5 cm thick, so the underside is at about 71 cm. Choose armrests that stay well below that, and you can slide the chair under the top after dinner. For the chairs in our collection, the armrest height is listed in the product details. If in doubt, measure under your own table.
Which fabric is practical at the dining table?
Upholstered chairs are more comfortable during a long dinner than hard wooden chairs. Bouclé and teddy fabric are soft and warm; textured fabric and chenille are strong for daily use. If you have young children, PU leather is easy to wipe clean. A swivel chair, such as the Olof, which turns back to its starting position when you get up, makes getting in and out at the table easier.
How many chairs fit at your table?
